DIY Plant Markers - Laminate seed packets so you know exactly what you planted and where

Hurray for spring! Here’s a tip for gardens and containers – use empty seed packets as markers so you know where you planted, when you planted, and all of the instructions on the back. I used my laminating machine to laminate the empty packets after I planted, and taped a popsicle stick on the back. The garden markers survived a heavy rain last night and stayed waterproof.

If you want to include the date you planted the seeds, write it on the empty packet before laminating.

Laminate seed packets, and cut out.

Attach sticks to packets with packaging tape.

Push in the soil near your plantings.

Buffalo Feta Deviled Eggs - no mayo but Greek yogurt, feta, and buffalo sauce - just 1 WW+ point each!Buffalo Feta Deviled Eggs Recipe – Now that Easter is over what do we do with all of these eggs?!? Ha. This year I tried a recipe with a twist on the usual deviled egg. This variation has feta cheese, buffalo sauce, and instead of mayo: Greek yogurt. There are just 44 calories per piece, or 1 WW+ point!

WHAT YOU NEED:

Peel eggs, and slice lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a bowl. Set egg whites aside.

With a fork, mash together yolks, feta cheese, yogurt, half of the parsley, onion powder, Buffalo sauce, and celery salt. Place mixture in a zipper sandwich bag and seal. Cut off a tiny piece of a bottom corner and pipe filling into
reserved egg whites.

Garnish with remainder of parsley. Refrigerate until serving.

Ranch Snack Crackers Recipe - just mix oil with a few ingredients and bake

Remember these? Oyster crackers seasoned with ranch dressing mix, lemon pepper, garlic, and dill. One of my favorite things to eat when I was a young whippersnapper, ha!

I made this recipe for a quick kids’ snack and they loved shaking the bag to mix the ingredients together. Here’s what we did…

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 bag (16 oz) oyster crackers
  • 1/2 tsp dill weed
  • 1/4 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

WHAT YOU DO:

Preheat oven to 250ºF.

Pour crackers into a gallon size zipper bag. Pour oil over crackers, seal, and shake gently to coat.

Add ranch mix and spices to bag, then seal, and toss until coated.

Pour onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
