Here’s a delicious twist on traditional buffalo wings: marinade wings in a mixture of soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic and fresh ginger, then roast in the oven, and finally saute in sriracha, lime juice, and butter.  YUM.

Asian Glazed Wings - simple ingredients and so delicious I am making these again for the second time this week

I adapted this recipe from the 2017 magazine “350-Calorie Meals in Minutes” but added toasted sesame seeds.

  • 2 lbs. uncooked chicken wings
  • 1/2 c. low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar (divided in half)
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. sriracha
  • juice of 1/2 a lime
  • 1 Tbs. sesame seeds
  • optional: chopped scallions or green onions

  1. PREPARE THE MARINADE – combine soy sauce, 1/8 c. brown sugar, garlic, and ginger in a gallon ziplock bag. Add wings, mix to coat, and seal. Marinate in refrigerator for at least an hour.
  2. TOAST THE SESAME SEEDS – Place seeds in a dry skillet and heat over medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally (watch closely to avoid burning). Set aside.
  3. TO PREPARE MARINATED WINGS – Preheat oven to 450ºF. Remove wings from the bag and place in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with foil sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Roast wings in the oven for approximately 15 minutes, until the meat is cooked through and the skin begins to crisp and caramelize.
  4. SAUTE THE WINGS –  In a large skillet, heat butter, sriracha, lime juice, and 1/8 c. brown sugar until melted. Add wings and saute for 3-4 minutes, or until the sauce clings to the chicken.
  5. GARNISH – with toasted sesame seeds and (optional) scallions/green onions

Here’s an awesomely delicious AND easy one-pot meal: sriracha lime chicken.

It has just 5 ingredients but lots of flavor. I made this recipe in a cast iron skillet and served it with rice (made in my handy dandy rice cooker).

Season chicken with salt & pepper.

In a gallon size ziplock bag, combine chicken, EVOO, lime juice, sriracha, onion slices. Seal, mix, and

Sriracha 2 Go

Using just 5 simple ingredients you can make a delicious teriyaki chicken dish, on a bed of fluffy rice, topped with a sriracha cream sauce. This was so super delicious I can’t wait to make this recipe again.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken with Sriracha Cream Sauce - so easy and delicious. This is one of my ALL TIME faves. Can't wait to make this recipe again!

You could also lighten it up by using a bed of greens instead of rice, and make it into a salad.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken with Sriracha Cream Sauce

  • 1 lb uncooked boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into chunks
  • 1 c uncooked rice
  • 1/2 c teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 c mayonnaise
  • 1-2 Tbs sriracha sauce
  • optional toppings: sesame seeds, green onions

  • Prepare rice according to package directions (I used my all time fave rice cooker.)
  • While the rice is cooking preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Line an 8×8 baking pan with foil and spray with non-cook cooking spray.
  • Place chicken pieces into the baking pan, pour teriyaki sauce on top, and cover pan with foil.
  • Bake for 20-25 min then remove from oven.
  • Flip the chicken pieces over and spoon teriyaki from the pan on top of the chicken.
  • Return to the oven, uncovered, for 5-8 min, or until chicken is cooked through. Cooking time will depend on the size and thickness of the chicken pieces.
  • To make the sriracha cream sauce, whisk together the mayo and sriracha until combined. Place in a squeeze bottle, or a ziplock sandwich bag with a tiny piece of a corner snipped off.
  • To serve, place rice on a serving platter, then add cooked chicken, and top with teriyaki sauce from baking pan, cream sauce (I placed it in a ziplock bag, clipped the corner, and squeezed it on), and optional toppings.

I ate this straight out of the bowl (it’s not that pretty, but it tastes awesome), though you could also serve it in a pita pocket, or on bibb lettuce leaves as a wrap.
